    What about this?

If my HOA wanted to use one to make a point in the neighborhood before we actually call the Sheriff's Department, are they available? Where? What do you ask for?

    Thanks.

Where do you live. If its in BR I can swing by one day. Is he trying to prove that the cars are actually going slower than it appears?

Call the Sheriff's Department. That will get the point across loud and clear.

Unless it's your wife you are trying to prove the point to. :chuckles:

Actually it's Prairieville. Yours truly is on the HOA Board (would you expect anything less from me); and we have residents complaining about the speeding in the neighborhood for obvious reasons. So, my first inclination is to actually set up in the neihgborhood, stop the neihgbors that are speeding, and explain to them the consequences of their actions, etc.

Now I know what you all are thinking; "You wouldn't put yourself in that position, you would call the police and let them handle it." And I agree to some respect. But we all know each other, and THEY ALL KNOW WHO I AM; and it might be a son or daughter that just needs a friendly reminder that we have little kids all over the place, and blah, blah, etc..

And if that diplomacy doesn't work, I could go Yeager on them! :p

The SO should be able to bring out a trailer to warn of speeding. You could always stand by it and jot down who is violating and contact them. I like this idea versus the HOA that always calls our office and when we go out there they get mad when they are one of the ones ticketed.

A while back a lady complained of speeders in her neighbor and told the officer he could use her driveway to clock them. After he issued Citations to many of her neighbors she complained to the officer and said she did not want citations issued, she just wanted him to stop them and ask them not to speed. WPXX does not use her driveway anymore, he goes down the street to a City driveway.

They just put one on Dalrymple near May Street / LSU Lakes. People whip around that curve heading south towards campus all the time.

Who is the head muckity-muck at APSO, that can help a brother out on this?

Try chief tony if you can get him. You can contact Jeff Wiley's office Or try to contact head of operations, Deano. Pm me and I will see what I can come up with if none of those routes work for you.

People normally do not call the Sheriff or Chief of Police for something like this, the person that answers the phone at the SO or PD can probably assist you but you will probably be put on a waiting list.
