Loving my truck once again with the auto. Awaiting tune revisions via email before i can beat on it again.

I wish i had the gt500 engine in my truck. Pulley and tune and you are over 600rwhp with a stock blower.

I didn't take any pictures this year at the Hot Rod Reunion, but there were plenty of things and cars to see.

There were a few guys that drove up from Louisiana, which included an original steel 1932 Ford Roadster. The guy is from Lake Charles and my father said he had talked to him once before about the car. It was supposedly a car that his father or grandfather had hot rodded in the 50's, and he still has it as it was (other than a new chassis).

A local guy even drove his roadster the whole way as well. Gotta respect that!

Saintsfan, that's a good looking pony man.

Dude. Is that your car? That's a bunch a codes.

Yes...it's 4 codes...and two of them are related (if I'm correct) to not having an cats on the exhaust anymore.

The evap code i'm looking into.

for the cam sensor code, I'm replacing the sensor and hoping that solves it...It could be a faulty diode in the alternator or bad wiring (from what I've read).

I'm also Cleaning the MAF. replacing the IAC. replacing the PCV.

The catalyst efficiency are the lack of cats.

The 0153 is the first 02 sensor, not the second. So not related to lack of cats. Could be bad 02 sensors. Or am exhaust leak (which sucks in air at times).

Cam sensor. Yep. Change it. Most likely culprit. If not, can't help ya beyond that.

Lastly, the evap has something to do with the carbon canister purge system. Check and ensure all connections on it are good, and valve is working. I'm not certain on that year but it could also be gas cap mayve? Not sure when gas cap test became its own code but it's part of the evaporative purge system.

Fix the evap first. There is a possibility that that system is broke causing out of range condition for 02 sensors maybe?

Nice! How much would one in similar condition to yours go for now a days? I've been itching to get a classic and it's a toss up between a late 60's mustang it Camaro

Not sure how much for one bought in this condition. I rebuilt mine and depending on how much work you do yourself, it could cost $10-30k.

Well depending on how much you want to spend, you can build a 68 Camaro without a single part from 68 :D (including the body)

Looks right. I usually just get them from O'Reilly.

    Yep, picked one up today.

someone on the SN95Forums recommended, for the EVAP Code, that I blow smoke into the line that comes out of the Brake Booster to check for leaks in the hoses....sound reasonable???

That's a good idea. Yeah should work. But you also need to check the line from the fuel tank and from canister to intake.

The evap system is the fuel tank vent system. It purges the tank vent through the carbon to atmosphere. Under the right running conditions, it then vents (and purges) that and the absorbed fuel to the intake to regenerate the carbon. Maybe that explanation will help you sort it out. Lots of vacuum connections and the purge valve but usually a system that works without much need for repair. But a leak here can lead to lean condition and vacuum leak which may be what's freaked out your 02 sensor also.

got everything cleared except the P1443 code...I'm assuming it's a hose leak somewhere...smoke test is necessary I guess.
