We Should Try to Get This Started; A Day of Support for ALL LEO's

I don't do social media (other than this place), but I think it would send a strong message of support if we could somehow organize through social media and the like, a Day of Support (for LEO's).

Something as simple as picking a day and reminding everyone to turn on and leave your headlights on the entire time you drive for an entire day.

What do you guys think?

I'm down to do something. If someone can organize a plate lunch or money collection I would take a day off work to go help with it. I'm not a good organizer but I'm willing to go help for a full day with anything you guys setup. Hell I don't wash my own cars but I would go wash cars for a day if it was to help these officers.

I was actually thinking about this earlier around noon. I wonder if we could get something going to maybe serve the Baton Rouge LE community a lunch or something. Of course with the current state of things it would be best to not be too publicized beforehand to the public for the safety of all involved. I could see Red Beans and Rice and Jambalaya being served. Maybe if someone has access to a big BBQ pit burgers and dogs could be served as well. Could get soft drinks donated.

This is the time when we need to make a stand for what's right. I'm not talking about walking around with guns and causing panic or screaming BS though a bull horn I'm talking about helping these families that WILL be in need! I will paint a house, replace rotten wood, cut grass, grill burgers, or shake hands whatever it takes to show people we care!! Please anyone in BR that is able to set something up for us to do let me know! If all else fails and we need an all out protest I'm down with that also!!!!

How about getting together on Airline Highway in front of the Police Station for a prayer service. No screaming or anything loud just a meeting with people praying.

send them a letter. It only costs a stamp. I did last week, it's easy and I bet they could use the support. Gathering may cause more work for them.

How about a nice shooting weekend at Honey Island or any other outdoor range. Instead for the normal 6 bucks entry, make it 20 or so bucks, and all proceeds go to the local law enforcement. There's that little covered area they hold classes under, have that set up with food and drinks. Hell, it could be cheap things like water, coke, and hot dogs, and sell those with all proceeds going to law enforcement. I would LOVE to hang out with like minded individuals, and have a nice day shooting my guns and also shooting the breeze.
