The framework for what they want to do is already in place. NFA. They simply will apply NFA rules to all current and future semi-auto rifles capable of accepting a detachable magazine, and let nature take it's course. All future sales go through NFA bullsh!t. All current owners will be required to register by a certain date or be illegal forever. See 1934 if you need a blueprint. Some will, some won't. They don't care.

If you do, you are on the list and will have the trouble of transferring through ATF on sale or to heirs forever. If you don't, you will likely hide the rifle until you die, at which time your heirs will turn it in with no compensation whatsoever. They don't want an illegal gun.

Attrition through friction. They will apply friction to the situation and just wait. Over time, friction stops anything.

I can agree with what you are posting, my only issue with this is; it would be temporary until another administration reverses it.

They want a permanent solution. They want it finished once and for all. Like the Nazi's with the final solution for the Jews.

They want to subjugate the US citizen. The enemy has overthrown a duly elected POTUS, and put a puppet in the White House. Folks this time they are playing for all the marbles!

The only problem with your theory is it is thought by a reasonable person looking for a reasonable solution to a problem, the evil people pulling the strings right now could care less about what is reasonable they want our ANNIHILATION!

No, Biden can't ban them by executive order. It will only take a simple majority in the house and senate to ban them. I honestly don't think that every Demo will vote for the ban. There are a few who come from states where assault weapons are popular, and it would cost them their seat if they did vote for a ban (my opinion). Regardless, you guys chill out and let the NRA do their thing.

I see this as an easier way for them to accomplish what they want with less force. I am not sure they are ready for a confrontation that would cause them to loose money or power. They will be careful not to push people to the point where we have nothing to loose. They can use very small, controlled skirmishes to explain why they are right to do what they are doing (gorilla warfare) and use media to their advantage like any other terrorist.

Gun Owners of America and the Second Amendment Foundation have been fighting gun laws in court for several years. They just don’t get the recognition that they deserve. The media complains about the NRA, but GOA and SAF are actually responsible for some of the media’s crying.

this is a "law abiding gun group". I wonder how that is going to work out if this does get passed. I mean it is the law right? You push for only "legal transactions"? What is legal to you? The constitution has been ruled as supreme law of the land. Any law written against any of the 10 amendments is null and void. The constitution trumps all law. Shall not be infringed is straight forward written with such intent. All gun laws are unconstitutional!

The only statement I need to read in that article:

Unfortunately, right now we can’t. The political will is there, but the institutions are not. Honestly, this is a good thing. If we passed a law tomorrow banning all firearms, we would have massive noncompliance. What we need to do is establish the regulatory and informational institutions first. This is how we do it. The very first thing we need is national registry. We need to know where the guns are, and who has them.

If the above paragraph does not open your eyes you are asleep.
Does anyone know why they need to know where the guns are and who has them?

Did anyone pay any attention to what Trump did for the last 4 years, more if you in any way followed his professional career?

    Step 1 - Propose BIG.
    Step 2 - Negotiate BIG.
Step 3 - Take what you can get.

Of course they want national registration. It's the holy grail. They will take NFA for semi-auto's for now. That is the "line in the sand" to watch. It's the "foot in the door" to registration of all firearms.

Registration of all firearms is the foot in the door to confiscation. Some here may argue that, but I’m thinking they’d eventually come to realize the truth.... like when people show up and start reading them their list and taking their guns.
