I hate to hear our tax money going to jam up someone who is trying to find dead or wounded deer.. I can see how they are applying it, saying it could still be wounded and then the hunter would shoot it, thus hunting with the drone. but this is a stretch and just frustrates me .. More BS..

That’s a big thing up north, it’s pretty cool they got a lot of YouTube vids on them with recovery… some states allow you to look but if it’s not dead you cannot recover or make an attempt, and some you cannot even use drones… but it’s cool tech.

Below are the requirements for commercial licensing. Any business use would require you to have the commercial license. Real estate flyovers and videos, shooting air footage for commercials, etc. I'm sure most that use a drone do not have the full license. I got just the basic recreational license several years ago. Think it's like $5.00 a year or something. I don't fly for any income producing reasons.

What's it take to get a commerical drone license and when is it necessary?
he covered it, basically any use where you are being compensated or as part of a job. You have to register with the FAA and take an in person knowledge test, it's difficult but not impossible. Test is $175, every 2 years you renew but it's an online test.
