Only put a few hundred rounds through this before I started getting the itch to build one myself.
Includes AIMPOINT PRO. Both rifle and optics are in perfect condition. Less than 150 rounds through this. Pickup or will deliver in NOLA area or I can have it sent to your favorite licensed...
Haven't received it yet, guess the forums are being sluggish.
Since you guys really want to see them, I'm gonna get out the cell phone camera in a sec and take some of the actual firearms. Will post them in like 15 minutes.
ALL SOLD. Positive feedback for everyone coming shortly.
Haven't posted here in a while - hoping it wouldn't be this kind of post, but unfortunately it is: due to me getting ready to leave my job and the low probability of me finding something in my profession locally, I'll likely be moving...
I've been debating on getting a laser sight for my 1911, not so much for actual use, but more for "practice" so I can improve my grip, etc without having to go to the range.
Does anyone have any experience with the Lasermax (laser goes in the guide rod area) products? It looks like a neat...
I'd like to know as well - I picked up a Springfield Milspec 1911 yesterday at that show in Gonzales, and I despise the sights that are on it - plus I'd like to do some mostly cosmetic things as well (case hardened finish, more checkering, etc).
I've seen the Indian stuff before. Nasty. Had some kind of tar looking stuff all over it that wouldn't come off.
Normally I use cheaperthandirt, but they don't even have it now. They do have some cheap Russian steel cased stuff I can probably get away with, but it's still more than cheapo...
Hi folks,
I just finished putting together my CETME, and decided to take it out to the range tomorrow. It doesn't like thin walled commercial brass, so I decided to go find some milsurp stuff. Edit: It should do ok with steel cased ammunition as well. Edit #2: The reason it doesn't like...
This is somewhat off topic, but what are you using for a scope on your Weatherby? I have a 300 WBY mag and so far it has managed to break a Leupold and a Burris in less than 200 rounds. Mine doesn't have a muzzle brake, so that's probably contributing to their short lifespan.
That really looks like a lot of fun! Maybe if I was actually capable of hitting anything with a handgun (or if I owned a revolver(s) instead of a semi-auto compact) I'd give it a try. :)
Do you allow spectators, and in particular one who's a semi-professional photographer?
Actually I know about the warranty on them - I'm just not sure they'll cover mine since I'm not the original owner (it's a hand me down), and it's probably close to 30 years old. It's also a little on the beat up side. If by some wild chance they do replace it, I'll put it back on my Colt Sauer...
Hi all,
The eater-of-scopes has done it again: this time it trashed a cheap-o NC Star, last time it ate my Leupold. Does anyone have suggestions for a relatively inexpensive scope that will stand up to a big rifle with a pretty heavy kick (300 Weatherby Mag)?
Thanks!
Edit: Pictures of the...
Elliots has a good selection. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are - but that's pretty much universal, and at least the employees are knowledgeable about what they're selling. Prices aren't great, but are usually tolerable. I shop there.
I'm headed over to Honey Island tomorrow to play with the Weatherby - anyone want to follow along or that needs a ride (warning: two seater car, or four if you have two parapalegic amputee midgets)? I'm probably leaving around 1:00 PM, and I'm also a semi-professional photographer so if you want...
I've been really interested in Kendo (arguably, more of a sport than a martial art) as of late, but the only Kendo club in New Orleans closed down in the aftermatch of Katrina it would appear. Anyone have suggestions on where to go?
Kendo, for those who aren't familiar with it, is Japanese...
Hi folks,
I'll second that suggestion for a Saiga - I've had both the Saiga 308 and a Saiga 20 (still have the shotgun) and they're great guns. You can drag them through the mud and they'll still fire. My only complaint is that the action on the rifle is partially open to the elements...
