    I've done some of these out of curiosity. They work well until the reflector melts after a minute of two. A little while later the plastic lens will melt. "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is"

    If used in short intervals, it may hold up.

    For about 10 bucks you can get some very nicely made cree led lights off deal extreme. I have purchased about a dozen different lights from them and all work very well. With led tech I see zero reason to run a filament bulb. Battery life is so much better and there is a lot less heat.

    Deal extreme have some nice led upgrade modules for the old maglights. I would spend money in that direction if you want to mod something!
