Hey guys just posting here to give a heads up. You can see my steel targets and order them at khyber pass tactical (mesa kinetic) in Gonzales. They have two floor models available and order forms.

What steel do you use??? AR500?....
    Price? Availability?
    Any other shapes?
Ok sorry I forgot to mention some of that in this post.
The steel is through hardened AR500
Below is an attachment with all targets available for order with prices. I do not take payment until the plate is ordered and I order the plate once enough material has been spoken for. Once I take payment and order the plate turn around is about 2 weeks or less.

Awesome. What thickness are they and what is the recommended maximum caliber on them?

I had clicked the Mesa Kinetic banner not too long ago and it didn't work---just FYI.

Nice! Are you making stands also?

Unfortunately I am not able to build stands. It opens me up to a lot I liability. If you have access to any tools, bucket, concrete or room to work. They have several DIY stands and I have no problem helping anyone get going with it.
I am sorry for any inconvenience. I do this to help guys out who want something local at a competitive price and cannot afford the liability insurance for the stands.

    They are 3/8" thick.
Pistol other than magnum stay at or past 15yards.
Magnum I recommend to stay at 25 yards plus.
.223 and .308 along with like calibers are ok at 120yards and further. (100yds at your own risk) just a little disclaimer.
All magnum rifles should be past 200 yards.
** key note: at the time of impact round must be less than 2900FPS

are the holes for mounting or what purpose do they serve? can we get them without that?

The holes are 9/16" and serve as the mount holes for several methods.
I chose 9/16" because that allows you to use a 1/2" carriage bolt or standard hex head bolt.
When you order you can opt to not have those holes cut.

They are plasma cut. Using a low heat method on a Cnc table.
No noticeable softening of the metal. I have extensively tested them and chose this method after researching. I found that several large steel target companies use this same method.
