Trying to put a transmission in a 96 ford ranger automatic. I can't get the torque converter to get the three clicks. Don't know if the shaft in the transmission is sticking out to far not allowing the converter to slide into place all the way. Need some help ASAP please.

    Get it?

I wouldn't sweat not feeling three clicks. If the torque converter spins freely once the trans is bolted up your good. Just tighten the trans slowly to make sure you don't pinch it.
