Watching the news about the shooting and thinking about my wife and kids has really got me thinking about the need for 1st Aid Training, 1st Aid gear and a Bug Out Bag things that I have always passed off for the paranoid people.

I know theres tons of info on the web about 1st Aid Training, 1st Aid gear and Bug Out Bags but I still wanted to get some opinions and ideas that may be overlooked?

Does your employer offer/provide First Aid/CPR to employees? If not check the local REd Cross, Ambulance Service, Etc. Here in Lafayette the Acadiana Safety Assc. offers this Training. You may also check into Training Facilites that do Oilfield Related Training. Most also do First Aid Training. Basic First Aid is just that, the basics but it is better than nothing. Those are some places to start. They may be able to refer you if they do not provide what you are seeking. I used to do First Aid/CPR Training but there wasn't enough money in it to keep up my certification so I let it lapse.

I had plans to take the gunfighter1 and med courses but now with multiple stress fractures and a cast on my leg sadly(pissed off actually). I can't make either.
Was really looking forward to them.
