The Academy in covington has a TON of black rifles!! a 10/22 with a Laser stock! (guy said it just came out), a ton of 15/22 and even a Sig 522, also a sig 556, several AR's, including one he said was called "two vets" that seemed interesting, several Windhams, and they even had a M1A sitting on the shelf for i believe 1500 or so, those were even hard to get before the crazy! sadly no ammo... also pistols like crazy judges, an SDVE 40, A couple buckmarks, Think I even saw an XDS and they had a taurs PT709....
The 10/22 lasermax came out earlier in May. Too rich for me at $399. It's been sitting there for a few weeks now. Wife and I went there earlier today around 2pm. We each left with a box of Speer 9mm, Winchester .45 and .40. There were some Winchester .22lr too.
Covington Walmart has about a dozen boxes of Tula 223, two 100 boxes of .380 and two 50 boxes of .380. Looks like a 100 round box of 7.62x39. Slim pickings but if you need any it's there for now.
Academy in Lafayette on Ambassador had a bunch of ****. I went Friday afternoon and there was lots of 7.62x39, 308, 223, some .22lr, very much 9mm/40/45acp, etc. They had no 300blk though :/ I had gotten some Federal 220gr the week before though. Not sure if they carry any TSX, AMax, or any other loads though - can't recall.
They had plenty of AR15s, too. M&P22, CMMG (irrc), Bushmaster, DPMS, think I saw an RJF, but don't recall. They had some USGI green follower mags with RJF floor plate for $20. They had some hydrodipped Magpul MOE set (30 round PMAG, MOE grip, MOE stock, MOE carbine handguard, trigger guard, not sure if anything else) that looked cool but was way, way too much money for me to ever consider.
walmart in gonzales yesterday about 5pm had a few boxes of winchester 22lr on the shelf. The lady was putting them out and they had some tula 223. There might be some left this morning.
I stopped in at Nick's today. Decent selection of ammo, considering. PMC .223 for $120/ 200rds. Independence for $12/bx. .45 ball for $25ish a box. The range was deserted. Depressing.
PX on Fort Polk has a BCM Complete rifle for 1170.00. I'd call to see if you can buy from the gun counter if you aren't .mil, but I have seen others that are not military buying from there.
