What do y'all favor in .22 shooting. Rifles or handguns? Do you like semi auto, bolt action, lever, pump or single shot rifles? Do you like semi auto pistols or revolvers? I tend to favor rifles when it comes to .22 shooting. Whether it's semi, bolt or lever (those are the ones I've tried), I do prefer shooting rimfires out of a rifle. What's your poison?

    All of the above :D

Hard to beat the fun factor of a semi auto rimfire. Prefer auto to revolver by a ton in pistols. For rifles I love shooting a nice 10/22 but a crazy accurate bolt action is also nice. Open sighted lever actions are fun also. Hard not to like any 22 rifle.

I lean twords handguns and semi's also, even though my favorite 22 is a bolt rifle, a Mossberg 42 MB.

I shoot alot of WWII stuff, so for a change a Smith 22-A1 pistol (w/red dot) and a ZK-22 bullpup (w/2 flashlights, red dot, & a lazer) are what I run most of my 22 ammo through. After that a Marlin 60.

For the least amount of fun put 22 shorts in a big long Marlin 81DL. If another shooter covers up the sound, you can't tell if it fired or not.

Love my new 22/45 Lite. I've also had a 10/22 since the early 90's that has seen its share of rabbits, squirrels, coons, and other critters. If I had to pick one I would go with the 10/22. More options for hunting and plinking for me.

For what? Semi autos are fun and bolt guns tend to be more accurate and slow the shooter down to concentrate on the next shot. No one size fits all, just the fun factor.

Semi- rifle or pistol with a lean towards rifle. I am always in the market for a new .22. I recently bought the Savage TR SR and I have a CZ512 (semi .22 mag rifle) on lay-away. Miss the old days of blasting away, much more fun when you know you can get more ammo without breaking the bank.

I'd never give up my semi-auto Marlin 60, but it's fun to switch it up and work a bolt sometimes, maybe set up a few targets and pretend I'm Jackson in the bell tower at the end of Saving Private Ryan. Traded my Marlin 25, kind of regret that one, but I'll get another mag-fed bolt action eventually.

By far , my S&W K-22 revolver is my favorite . I also have a couple of Ruger semi auto handguns and a CZ bolt action rifle . I enjoy them all .

Mostly shoot the Rem 512 and CZ 452, but my wife likes to shoot her 10 shot s&w 617 so it's getting a lot of action as well. Looking at getting a CZ 455 varmint in 22 wmr soon maybe.

I like pistols and rifles. Pistol must haves: Ruger MK III and a Browning Buckmark. Must have rifles: Ruger 10/22 and a S&W15-22. I have a lot more but, if I HAD to choose only four, those would be it for me.

    Prefer the tube -fed 22 rifles I.M.O.#1) Winchester model 63 #2)Remington 552 BDL Speedmaster#3)Savage 6A.
Revolvers and semi-auto pistols-like them All but only keep one semi.
The main thing to remember is velocity differences from rifle to pistols,of course MORE out of the rifles in 22l.r. And 22 Magnum. THE MAIN reason I gave up on 22Magnum revolvers and pistols. For example;NAA mini revolver @950f.p.s.- defeats the purpose of the Magnum cartridge, i believe lately ammo companies have used different powders to make up for shorter Barrels. Out of a rifle1600fps to 2200fps. IIRC.

Been wanting a S & W M&P22-the only AR15 style 22 that is the same size as an AR 15,correct me if i am wrong

You still get more velocity out of the .22 Mag in a revolver when compared to .22 LR in the same package. In those NAAs, they get a good bit more penetration too.
