After shooting my wifes .357 mag and seeing the results vs my 9mm and .45 ACP I have been impressed about the kenitic energy that the .357 mag produces.

With that said, I have been looking at getting another CCW gun in .357. I like the ideal off the .357 sig, but have never shot any of them. As for the .357 mag I am not oppose to a "wheel gun" but still want a minimum of 7 rounds.

I am leaning towards the .357 sig because I am a "high capicatiy whore" and like the ideal of having a lot of rounds. But I am beginging to understand that a well placed shot with the .357 mag might be better than having a lot of rounds.

I guess what I am asking is what is a good .357 sig hand gun with a high capicity?
What is a good wheel gun in .357 mag with over 6 rounds.

As for a CCW gun I cary full size pistols with no problem. I am 6' 4" 270lbs and a HK 45,Berreta M9 and other full size hand guns feel small to me when I Conceal Carry.

Thanks for any advice or opinions.

Buy a 40 S&W and load lighter faster bullets. Presto you have 357 sig without all the additional cost. In my opinion 357 sig is a marking ploy to sell more handguns. It's certainly not a 357 magnum and doesn't have the range of capabilities that it does. Plus you have a lot more options in 40 S&W for handgun types.

    8 shot 357 Magnum revolver from S&W.

To add to LSP, look up some of teh reports by a man name Dr. Gary Roberts. He's participated in extensive testing of different calibres and bullet selections within those calibres and his reports are eye opening as to the realities of wounding effects.
