Not looking for the best but don't wanna spent 200$ on something I don't like. I went to look at them but looking at them in bass pro vs outdoors isnt the same.

+1 on the Nikon Prostaff 550. I bought it from Academy about eight months ago and it works very well. I play quite a bit of golf and use it every round.

Very clear and easy to use. In my experience, it is very accurate. Allows me to dial in my irons and hit the greens.

On hunting trips it has worked great. I shoot five or six spots around me to get yardage. Spits out yardages quickly and on the move (as you move, the yardage is provided real time without delay).

I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

I have the Bushnell 800. Got it from Cabelas. Works good. I just need to remember to change the battery.

Edit to add: With any range finder, be it cheap or expensive, it depends on what you are ranging as to how far it will range. Tagerts are easy, deer are harder to range out past 400 yards with any range finder.
