Got my new Optic in today, mounted it on a Larue LT 660 mount. has 12 settings:

    0 is off
    1-4 is for NV
    5-12 is for normal use.

12 is so bright I don't think the Sun could wash it out. Going to sight this in Sunday.

Battery life is 50,000 hours on 1 2302 battery. After having a variety of fighting optics, from the reflex, tripower, eotech, and now this, this by far is my favorite. The weight is not noticeable, it probably weighs less than a combo of flip up sights.

Hows fast do you pick up the target thru the lense,
    say compared to an Eotech

I want one for a pig heavy Yugo but am worried the lense diameter will be to small sitting that far foward

Its nice for me, you can clearly see the optic as there it is parallax free. I shoot ambi with red dots , lefty with iron.

If you close one eye to aim, it could be a big problem. The "dot" scopes are designed to be shot with both eyes open. EOTech, C-More, or any of the tube scopes are the same with both eyes open.

My Eotech shoots fine with one eye closed, am I missing something?

Oh and damn nice Aimpoint.

    Jayd,

I know it's a sacrifice but I'll be willing to submit to having your wife buy me one to test out and let you know how it is before she pulls the trigger on one for you.

    Just a kind offer.

I'd hate to see her waste the money if you end up not liking it so the least I could do was offer to have her buy me one to do some preliminary testing and evaluation.

Dot sights are made for speed. When you close one eye, you loose field of view and depth perception. The smaller the tube(the Micro is tiny) the smaller the field of view. Try walking through the house while looking through the EOTech with the other eye closed. Then try the same with both eyes open. You'll see what I mean.

But I have Wallhacks built into my DNA. I dont lose my perception. The only reason shoot irons lefty, is I can't close my left eye and leave my right open.

That makes sense. I'll try that next time the wife is at work. :D
