4 cardinal rules to remember for reloading that I tell everyone who is new:
1. ALLWAYS keep your supply of rifle and pistol powder separate and properly marked. Accidental use of pistol powder for a rifle load will cause catastrophic damage to your rifle and injury to yourself.
2. ALLWAYS watch the powder charge for every shell casing. If a charge of powder appears to be higher or double the other charged casings, then dump it back into the holder. A missed double charge will cause what is referred to as a KABOOM(once again we have Catastrophic damage to your firearm and possibly severe injuries to you.)
3. ALLWAYS watch the seating depth of a bullet in a casing. A bullet that is seated too deep will increase the chamber pressure and possibly case a KABOOM. You must either dispose of the round or use a bullet puller and start over.
4. Review the reloading data for the rounds you want so that you can select the right powder. Do not buy black powder unless you are into black powder guns. Don’t buy a pig in a poke just to get your hands on some powder!
