I received the paperwork for my C & R license. I know the benefits of a C & R, maybe not all of them, but direct ship, discount from vendors, etc.
But....as I get ready to send it back to the ATF can anyone think of a reason not to??

It's expensive. Seriously, unless you have enormous self control you will spend gobs of mony on old guns, cause you can.

That said I just renewed mine, I'm Dumb.

Really though, I have not seen a down side.

Sooner or later the ATF will pay a visit so just make sure everything is in order. I guess there is that other thing that Akajun talks about, could be sticky. My only regret is not getting mine sooner.

I've never heard of them visiting a C&R holder .

Don't break the law, and there is no downside. It's pretty easy to stay legal. If you plan on falsifying records or otherwise breaking the law I'd recommend that you don't get one. If you plan on obeying the law (and do so) then it's a great deal. The ATF is mostly gun-people. They're not out to get you or me, so just be cool, and enjoy the privileges it brings to you.
