Has anyone ever done one who might be willing to help me do one on my Saiga 12

There are a lot of people on the forum that have done them. The first thing I would recommend is shooting the gun to make sure it will cycle low brass. If it will not send it out to one of the warranty centers to get them to open up the gas ports.

I professional conversion looks much better if you can't weld. You can plug the holes for the pins with something and put a bolt on trigger guard, but if you aren't comfortable doing these things you might want to just have one of the many local FFL's (not me) do it for you. There are a couple of vendors on this site that specialize in that type of work.

I'm about to tackle a conversion for the first time as well. I found an answer to all my questions on the Saiga 12 forum. Another good source is Carolina Shooters supply. They have some great step by step videos on YouTube from the first step to the last. Good luck and post some pics!!!

Determine what kind of changes you want to do before going forward. A simple bolt on stock like a Tapco will be easier (not much) compared to doing an ACE folder which requires the rear tang cut off. You'll need to modify or buy a pre-modified US fire control group. You'll also need to decide on the new trigger guard setup. The bolt on DIY are simple, such as the Tromix or MD Arms. This site will give you an idea of what needs to be done but it's not done on a Saiga 12.

There's good info on the Saiga 12 site too.
