I just picked up an M1A scout squad rifle at the gun show yesterday. I want to mount a conventional scope. The rifle will be used for deer hunting, beaver control and...... There seem to be alot of choices out there. Any reccomendations?

Forget about that forward scout mount. I keep reading they un-zero after a while.
Check out Sadlak industries http://sadlak.com/si_home.html or google smith enterprises. You should be able to find a good mount with one of those companies.
