Last month I rode 700 miles on my XT250 in the Ozarks, but had to return early for Cristobal's arrival.

Leaving tomorrow with my bike and M101A2 military trailer camper for 2 weeks in NW WY and the CO Rockies.

Just like last year's post #110 quoted above, I was in the middle of a week riding the forest roads and trails around Tellico Plains with my XT250 and my wife called and said I had come back because a hurricane popped up and was heading our way. I had one day to prepare for Hurricane Ida. I'm almost afraid to leave again for some mountain riding.

I just returned home from Colorado on dual sports with 2 friends. Went to Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge and Great Sand Dunes. Put about 700 miles in 3 days. Gorgeous views that is not typical for anything else close to here. I was on the Suzuki DRZ400S and my 2 buddies were on the Yamaha XT250's.

Y’all rode the bikes up there or they were on a trailer? That looks like a heck of a ride from here to Colorado on a 250.

Debate time... Going to visit family in Vegas for Thanksgiving... Fly and rent car or drive and have my dual sport with me to slip away into the desert a couple times.... (bike rentals are stupid expensive)

I'm not into the dual sport bikes but I recently bought a Harley Davidson Street Glide and a Boss Hoss (350 Chevy, 385 hp).
It has been good to get back in the wind and enjoying the solitude.

    Ride safe

Motor51, we took the 3 bikes in a truck up to Canon City, CO, and rode everything from there. Yeah that would be a little far on the XT 250.

Sportsbud, Moab isn't very far from Vegas!

I was riding on the levee coming from sunshine bridge to BR last week and had a few jumps sneak up on me, Im on a S model so nonadjustable suspension, I ended up damaging the shock. Looking around the internet I found Beemershop, they have a full set up 30mm lower, fully adjustable as good or better than the R. TracTive X-Treme-PA anyone has any knowledge on this brand? I think a lot of 1200 GS guys use them

kz45, when it comes to suspensions, adjustments and rebuilding components there is a guy in your area (I Think) by the name of Shay Rocca. I have ridden a bike he set up and it was spot on. I have a few friends who have used him as well and they are very satisfied with work. 225-281-0703.

    Good Luck

Hey guys, Shay here. Been following this thread for a while. My passion has always been dirt bikes and enjoy ya'lls stories.
I've been doing off road motorcycle suspension work since 1993 and have been a RACETECH center since then also. It isn't a full time job anymore but am available to help answer questions or guide those working on their own stuff. Feel free to reach out but please be patient with a response.
Just text me asking for a call back. 225-281-0703
I only work on Motocross, trail, dual sport and SOME adventure bikes so my knowledge of more on road stuff is limited.
    Stay safe out there guys!

Just picked up a 2018 Husky 701 Supermoto with 3900 miles. Has a Seatconcepts seat and a Akrapovic slip on. Did the baffle/DB killer delete today. Man, does it sound better. This thing is violent. I love it. Gonna put the 2008 KLR650 on the market soon.

If you want to ride, Southern Mississippi Dual Sport Riders is a VERY active group of guys (mainly) that ride at least once a month. I have ridden with them a few times and so has KZ45 (2 up awesome rider!). They ride a lot of gravel and some asphalt. They have a Facebook page if you do that.

That thing is sweet! I’ve got the Enduro bug bad, looking for that unicorn bike. I would be replacing a 450l and a 790 adv

Thanks man. I'm enjoying it so far. They're not easy to find in South LA. The closest dealer is in TX. There's also a KTM dealer in Hattiesburg. The KTM 690SM is basically the same bike. The Husky just looks cooler!

After having a "unicorn" bike (BMW XChallenge) I would rather a dirt bike and a decent street bike... Loving my 1150GS but wouldn't mind a bit smaller bike right now ...
