Wanting to add a light to my SBR (MLok)...after a bunch of looking around and weighing pros and cons, I think I want to go with the Odin Mini.

Has it proved to be a good light for you? Anyone have one crammed on a SBR?

    Thanks

1250 lumens @ 14,400 cd with a proprietary battery that requires me to put my rifle near an outlet so I can charge the light..

I’ll pass on that. The Streamlight HLX is pushing 1000 lumens at twice the candela as the Olight and you can swap 18650’s as needed without leaving your gun out to charge. If you want even more power, pick up a Modlite PLHv2 that has 1350 lumens @ 54,000 cd.

I have the regular Odin and they have a quick detach for the light to the rail and the switch to the light. I can take the light off the rifle in 10 seconds and put it on the charger in the morning then put it back on my rifle when I get home.

I don't have any problems with my Odin, but I'm not extremely particular.

Dave is correct but for the price it is ok. I have one and for home defense I don't see a problem. For professional use I would probably go with something with a known reputation. The low candela also means you cant reach out too for with it but 150 yards seems ok to me. It can be removed from the gun very easily using the QD m-lok mount that comes with it so you don't have to bring the whole gun to the outlet but it does need recharging. In a professional setting, obviously duel power is a better option. I don't like the fact that the tape switch is not "fenced" so it activates accidentally as well. Mine is on a 11.5 AR pistol

I am running the regular Odin. I think its great. hundreds of rounds at the range and still going with now issues. Using it with the pad at 12:00 to turn on and off with my thumb.

Same problem I have with the candela on the X300. I’ve seen the TLR-1HL outperform my X300 because of the almost doubled candela.

I’ll potentially dump my Surefire X300U’s when the PL-350 is released.
