Anyone built or have a ar that shoots
.9mm. Looking to build one. What type of lower would I start with.

Palmetto state armory has their 9mm Glock mag lowers on sale. They work as good as anything. Just right carbine (JRC) makes a good ar-style pistol carbine also.

Just put together one of the PSA AR-9s that takes Glock mags with a 7.5" barrel. It's slick! I already e-filed a form 1 to SBR it. Great gun for sub $700

PSA was out when I was looking so I got a glock mag lower from Runner Runner guns in TX. They call it the Thor or something like that. After looking at the pictures and comparing it to other lowers it looks like one done by New Frontier.

I actually put it together this weekend with a PSA 7.5 complete upper and it runs perfectly fine. I put it together with a Anderson arms lower kit, Radical Firearms pistol buffer tube and PSA 9mm AR buffer. Now just waiting on the SBR stamp.......

Never met a .9mm. Are you here with the mainstream media? :D
I kid, I kid... I'm interested in this topic as well.
For those with a qc10 or ddles type, how well does the LRBHO work? Would it be compatible with a BAD lever or similar?

Mine works with the BAD. LRBHO works most of the time, depending on the mags. Mine is an older model, so they may have perfected it by now.

If you are in the market for a lower look at Wilson Combat I got an email from them awhile ago and they stated they were making lowers for all the different pistol makers. Glock, S&W or Beretta mag lowers.

Easiest rifle I ever built! Just pushed 2 pins.
It's a very sweet shooter. Not one
FTF in over 300 rounds. Feels like 5 pounds loaded. Thoroughly enjoying it and have yet to
Tweak the trigger or change the grip. Been too busy shooting it!

In looking at some of the billet lowers available, I notice there is a small opening on the left side above the trigger area with a thin, round metal piece.

    What is this for?

Thanks in advance for the serious replies.

That is for the bolt catch. When I put mine together I put the parts in there and then put back the small threaded pin that was there to hold it in. On the lower I got it also had a nice threaded piece that went in for the rear pivot pin so that when I take the buffer tube off to put my stock once the from 1 clears I won't lose the spring and pin.
