When I install I screw it into place as far as I possibly can and yet it is not in far enough that it keeps the buffer retainer and spring from staying in its place? How much effort should it take to screw in the stock? What can I do?:(

What kind of stock? A2 extensions should screw all the way in until the shoulder is flush with the lower reciever. If its a carbine stock, you have to back the castle nut out a good ways, and then screw the extension in until it just holds the buffer retainer in place.

After looking at the Ace Website there seems there is no castle nut...now I'm really confused as to why it won't screw on all the way. The only thing I can think of is that it is not threaded enough.

No I have the LMT Sopmod stock and a fixed tactical entry stock. Both of them I was able to easily just install without any trouble.

Take it apart, and take some pictures of your attempted installation of the stock.
You are pressing the buffer retainer down into the lower while screwing it in, correct?

can the clamp move towards the rear of the stock?

if so push it all the way back into the foam then screw in the tube. then lock down the clamp when the tube/stock is holding down the pin.
