It is fairly simple. Every Monday night at 6:30 pm. there is a match practice session at Precision Firearms and Indoor Range (Baton Rouge).
If there is enough shooters, Lloyd Landry has a match practice session Wed. nights at "The Range" in Baker. Most Wed. nights there is enough shooters and they have the match.
The first Sat. of the month there is an IDPA match at the Sheriff's Range in Amite. Start shooting at 09:00.
The first Sunday of the month there is a Cajun Action Shooters (CAS) USPSA match at Southern Shooting Center in Thibodeaux. They start shooting at 09:00.
The second Sat. of the month there is a Steel Challenge type steel match in Thibodeaux at the Southern Shooting Center. Lafourche Speed Shooters. (Shooting starts at 09:00) THIS IS FUN!
The third Sunday of the month East Ascension Practical (EAPS) Shooters has their match in Gonzales at the Sheriff's Office range across from Lamar Dixon. Shooting starts at 09:00.
The fourth Sunday and the months with a fifth Sunday are shot at the Sheriff's Office range in Amite. 09:00 they start shooting.
You can look at www.lagator.org and see the dates of matches, maps to the ranges, and many of the stages that have been shot and the stages for the next match, most of the time. There is nothing on that site about the two indoor practice matches.
I've been having fun at the monday matches and plan to continue attending as long as the ammo fund holds out. If Jo Ann starts shooting them like Bryan was pushing for last night that ammo fund will be stretched lol
