    Agenda for Beginning/Intermediate Reloading Class

This clinic is directed towards reloading ammunition for rifles, both bolt and gas guns. Handgun loading can be discussed where appropriate, but is not the primary topic. The clinic is specifically intended for those with little or no rifle reloading experience thru the intermediate level.

Brief discussion of student experience and expectations.

Explanation of tools, procedures and principles needed to safely reload ammunition.

Detailed explanation of the proper use of each tool.

Tool recommendations. (press, dies, priming tool, scale, powder measure, etc.)

Discuss appropriate brass and brass preparation.

    Discuss resizing lubricants.

    Define and illustrate headspace.

Demonstrate proper adjustment of sizing die for correct headspace

    Demonstrate primer seating.

Discuss proper powder selection and quantity.

    Demonstrate powder dispensing.

    Discuss proper bullet seating.

    Demonstrate bullet seating.

Discuss proper rifle lubrication and cleaning.

    General discussion and questions.

Upon completion of this class the student should be able to select appropriate tools and components, and load safe functional and reasonably accurate rifle ammunition.

These classes are friendly, interesting and 'laid back'. I encourage questions and hands on with everyone. It is an opportunity to learn it right the first time and eliminate problems down the road.
