I am looking for a load with Titegroup and these bullets for steel matches that makes about 1000 fps and still is safe to shoot. How many grains should I use?
In my Walther P38 with 4 3/4 inch barrel , the 105 grain Bayou Bullet , 3.6 grains Titegroup will get 1, 097 fps .
If this is not quite powerful enough , work up slowly to a maximum charge of 4.0 grains of Titegroup for approx. 1174 fps .
For some reason my old WWII P38 just loves that bullet and 4.7 grains of Unique !
Shoots it the most accurate and to the pistols fixed sights ...been trying Red Dot , HP38 and Titegroup ...but it likes 4.7 grains Unique best .

What are you shooting these out of? And why the 105s? Just curious, I shoot the 145s with 3.0 grains of titegroup, makes 133 PF, no recoil to speak of. Makes PF out of my 5 inch 1911, sig p320 x 5’s, and various glocks. I’d imagine with 105’s you could go to 3.0 grains also, but would have to use a pretty light recoil spring.
in the X 5’s I run a 14 lb, and in the 1911, a 12 lb. both guns run flawlessly, and are very very accurate.
