Are you gonna tell me none of those .410 Governor-Judgy handguns are rifled?
He said the shot “conformed to the bore size” and I’m just wondering how a .36 cal ball would have to conform to a .410 smooth bore…so I a

It is my understanding that most 410 shotguns are smooth bore with a choke around .390", the OD of a 410 wad...In a 45/410 handgun you have a barrel with very shallow rifling, just enough to not be considered smoothbore; the .360" leadballs inside of the wad make the od of the wad around .390", BUT the cup at the base of the wad is large enough to seal in a .452" barrel, imparting a very slight spin to the wad. My 2 1/2" bbl Judge will put all 4 buckshot in about a 6" circle at 25-30 feet. If you shoot birdshot thru it, the shot spins too, but creates a donut pattern and at 25' will shoot about a 18" donut, all around point of aim..The difference in advertised velocity is because some are shot from a 3" barrel and some are shot from a 18"+ test barrel; 800 fps from my judge would likly produce 1200 fps from your shotgun.. Also if you look at youtube there are plenty of test and explainations of pistols vs shotguns

Are you shooting through a rifled barrel? Recovering after they hit steel targets? How much range do you think you’re talking about in a person’s home? Points to ponder…
    Smooth bore.
Flattened to bore diameter in barrel not as a result of impact.

Try shooting some in water and see for yourself.

Top ball will only be flat on one side. The others will be flat on both sides.

Tried with a variety of brands.

Not much wild game wandering around in my house.
    I prefer to hunt outside.
