I have a very dull police fully serrated and a new Delica EDC that is half serrated. What is the best way to properly sharpen the odd spyderedge serrations? Ive seen that lansky makes one that is supposedly just for it. Opinions/recommendations please. I would like to be able to find locally if possible. If its any help, i own a Gatco sharpening system, but do not necessarily need a rod guided stone for my spyderedge knives (yeah, i was a boy scout and can sharpen a knife the old fashioned way lol).

Thanks for all the replys. I've considered sending it back, but don't wantto do without my delica that long. Rather just do it myself. Looked at the 204, but really can't justify another expensive setup on top of the one I have for what will be 7 teeth in the long run (I don't carry the police so it just needs sharpened once). If I don't have one before the next gun show, I'll check that out.

Has anyone used the lansky spyder stone that supposedly is for spydercos?

    gun show knife sharpener

Whatever you do don't buy the sharpener from the guy at the gun show his little gimmick is completely worthless and will do nothing for your knives but make them dull as a rock. I am talking about the guy who sells the little V shaped tools one for $12 two for $20 complete garbage

I sent my Delica back to Spyderco and it came back within a month with a nice factory edge. Not a bad deal for just the cost of shipping.

After reading the reviews on the spyderco 204 sharpmaker, I just ordered one from Amazon.com. $52.50 delivered. Between my wife's Wusthof knife collection and my own pocket and work knives, I'm sure that the sharpener will stay busy.

I used to use a round fish hook sharpener (lost in Katrina) that worked great. It was just the right size for the divots in the blade. I need to find another one...

I'll second the sharpmaker. I just got mine a month ago. I have a lansky, warthog, and various stones that haven't seen the light of day since the sharpmaker came along.
