People seem to have no problem with long wait lines in the drive thru, especially women. A product of the covid pandemic, imo. They did it/learned it then and do it willingly now. I refuse to sit in a long drive thru line, waiting and idling. Like you, I'd rather park and walk in. Or I just leave.

We maybe once, twice a year get fast food. Exception is pizza.
BK sent us coupons for 3 Wopperz, fries and medium cokes. $12.99
We went only drive tree open. Sign on door says short handed. Long line, then to pull up. 12-15 min later they come out the side door hand us bag no fries. My wife says no fries? They we t back in came out 10 min later cold fries? By the time we got home everything was cold except the now watered down drinks.
Here's some Angus burgers, diced tomatoes, onions, minced garlic, mushrooms, celery, jalapenos. Slow cooked in oven (dutch oven) over rice

Yes I know the thread is about the decline in fast food quality and the increased cost to buy it.
For many years I packed a cooler. Sandwiches, water and ice as i normally worked in the sticks or did not want the down time.
I worked with guys who would lose time and spend money for sub par food and be broke at weeks end. Looking for a handout or freed me.
I did the same for car shows, race track etc. If I could bring it in trunk.

That is an example of how terrible BK service can be. Not every time, but potentially can be. And most of the workers could care less, sometimes even the manager or "team leader" on shift too. Like they are doing you a giant favor. Very disappointing and frustrating as a customer. Makes you never want to return.

When I worked at OPP(Orleans Parish Prison), there was only 30 minutes allowed for lunch. I learned the hard way that 30 minutes wasn't enough time to check in and out of the facility and buy food. So I just stopped leaving the facility and ate the inmate food.

The Wendy’s (both) on Williams In Kenna are really bad! Stale buns, dried out patties and bad service. More than once I was asked to come back in 10 minutes at the drive up. If I’m on the WB going into the shop, I’ll stop at the Boutte Wendy’s. Much much better.

Man o man, some of you boy's amaze me eating fast food pig/chicken and cow's anus burgers, These taste like flavored card board at some of the greasy spoon dive's.
I eat man food at the truck stop buffet's! Yall really need to step it up boy's.
Real hamburger steak's, Meatball stew you name it!
You could almost say I am a truck stop Cassanova of the food world!
