Cheaper than chicken...I don’t think so. I cooked a 40lb case of leg quarters for our truck drivers. Local Piggly Wiggly had 40lb cases for $5.00 ! Hell the charcoal cost twice as much as the chicken did.
certified is just inspected as safe to consume.One day sale limit 2 cases per customer. Usual brand the store carries in date nothing but good.
I do have a beef question to add to the conversation. They will advertise a sale say USDA Beef whole ribeye and the vacuum bag will be marked out of country either Mexico or Nicaragua. I know beef is regularly imported but is this USDA certified or USDA graded?
Albertsons just posted a sale on leg quarter's, if you spend an additional $10 in the store you can get a 10lb bag of leg quarter's for $1.00, rediculous.
