I work for the state and it is how we collect samples from an area to do mercury sampling on the fish. If we fished all day trying to catch them we might not get all of the species in the area so if we shock it or something then they float up and we got them.

Fish obtained this way or not to be used for human consumption

March is a great redfish month. I am going to try and get out this week to grab a limit of reds (rod & reel).
