Are there any in La? I just watched what looked like a eagle on top a telephone pole eat a small rabbit! It stood about 16" to 20" tall, wish I could have got a pic, all I had was my 8 power spotting scope

I've been watching the juvenile bald eagles off I10/310. No white heads yet. They've been fun to watch but the new nest is too far from the interstate now.

It takes them a few years to develop the white head feathers.
