I'm fixing to pick up a '98 Tacoma and am looking to get a camo paint job. Can probably do it myself but would rather let the professionals do it. Anybody know a decent priced place to get this done? So far this is my favorite. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1348544662.213777.jpg

Not trying to hide it and if we lived in the snow I might go for the white camo. It'll help hide the dents and scratches from riding through the woods.

Not really trying to hide it. It'll help hide the dents and scratches from riding through the woods though.

And that is why it would be so easy to do. All the flaws that are so visible with glossy paint don't show up in a flat paint so you don't need some expensive specialty paint designed to retain a high gloss or extensive surface prep to remove each little dent and ding with filler and primer. Just use cheap Rust-Oleum camo paint. Sand it down, draw the pattern you want with a marksalot pen and spray each color, don't mask between colors, let then blend.

Doing a basic old school camo paint job is pretty hard to screw up. Go buy the rustoleum camo paints and start laying it down. Scuff the whole truck so it bonds, wipe it down with mineral spirits, and get to paintin. Best part about it, if you screw up, fix it, it's only paint

I thought about a wrap but I'm sure the first tree I rub it's gonna tear. I'll probably end up doing it myself. I'll post progress pics when I get started.

I've seen some wraps take some harsh abuse. Just like anything else, if it's good quality and properly installed, you shouldn't have any issues. You rattle can painting it, how bad can it really make it look if you hit a tree, wether it's wrapped or sprayed????
