Causeway closing?

I know the Miss River Bridge in BR is shut down when sustained wind speed reaches a certain point (I think it's 45 mph?). Is there a similar standard for the Lake Ponchatrain Causeway? I noticed on the website this morning that the Causeway is already closed to motorcycles.

it is open at this time, only restriction is no motorcycles, RV or glass trucks at this time.

I know it's open now (see OP). What I'm wondering is at what wind speed (or other criteria?) would the Causeway be closed to all traffic?

That's their website. It doesn't give criteria, but I would guess you could contact them and ask. They also have a sign-up link for you to get closure notifications.

Closing to motorcycles, rv's, and glass trucks is pretty common. I am curios the criteria, good question.

I have lived in Port Allen since before the bridge was built, and have never heard of it being closed for wind.
