I did the Livingston Parish Sheriffs office class last Saturday. "Cop biscuits" their terminology not mine, (Donuts) for breakfast and they feed you lunch. I have taken 2 others but this was the best I have taken. I would highly recommend it. YMMV

I just realized that mine expires on 4/25. Trying to find a class in the Hammond/Covington area between now and then, but not this weekend. Sent several emails but no replies. Guess I'll have to make some phone calls.

Update: Signed up with Bearco for April 13. They are developing an online course, so I may not even have to sit in a classroom, only go to the range.
