Greetings Everyone , I just recived my XS Sights for my kimber pro carry and tried to change sights my self :) well that didnt work out , lol, i was at the range in henderson and ran into a guy that changed his sights on his kimber (thats why i bought XS Sights ) and he told me that it wasn't that hard . well i believe that it is not for the non gunsmith anyway . i locked it down in a good padded vice and with my brass punch started to try and remove old sight s (wow ) you have to be kidding me , those dam things are welded in there , i know that kimber presses them in there and i stopped before i really messed my gun up .

Anyone do smithing on the side ? every one that i have called around lafayette area are super busy and have a long wait period . i looked at a sight pusher, but i only need this 1 pistol done and spending that kind of of money for a 1 time deal isnt gonna happen
The video of them changing sight on XS web page makes it look real easy also :)

    Thx

Caution would be advised, most Kimber sight are very hard to change out. I broke a sight pusher trying to get a Kimber rear sight out. Tight sights are problematic not only could you mess up the finish on the slide but you could bend it, which creates another set of problems. Patience is a good concept here.
