Cheap night vision

Hopefully yall can help me out. My 7 year old son who is a military surplus nut , has been begging for some night vision goggles. He found some fake toy ones with LED's on the front and I told him to hold off and lets see if we can find some real ones. It doesnt have to work well. It would be better than some walmart toy and If "a soldier" might have wore them he would be as proud as a kid could be.

So my question is: is there any night vision technology that is out dated and inexpensive.
If so how much and where can I look for it.

NVGS come in Gen I, II, and III. As the number goes op, so does the price. Ebay will probably be your best bet if you want uthentic military, if not, academy and wal-mart has Gen I at decent prices.

Cool Im gonna check it out, the one posted above is the one he wants but I thought it was a gimmick but the review says it works great for the money.

The old black and white movie cameras of yesterday, some of them would see in the dark and also see thru clothing, to some extent. I don't remember which ones, I know Sony had one, but they tried to pull them off the market. Wish I had one.
