CHP as a form of ID.

Have any of you successfully used your CHP card as a form of ID ? Yesterday my wife was filling out some paperwork at the local School Board office and they needed two forms of ID . She gave them her DL and her CHP and they told her they couldn't accept the CHP .

State issued. Should be fine. Also it pops up on LA wallet. You shouldn't have any issues unless people are being ignorant.

Security at N.O. Airport accepted my TWIC a couple of years ago.

I've had my DL and my passport both fail to scan. TSA checked them several times to make they weren't fake and let me through. They told it happens sometimes

It happens more often than you think. I fly very infrequently. out of 6 security checkpoints at the airports, when I presented my TWIC, 2 times they had trouble reading it or could not read it. They asked me for another form of ID, i told them that is my ID. They looked at my boarding pass and let me through.

I used mine about 20 years ago at a bank. I gave them my DL and CHP. I said look they are both signed by the head of the state police.

I recently renewed my DL and used it for the secondary ID required for RealID.

by mistake---corrected my mistake and all was OK.
