I have no use for a stun gun or taser, but nice to see they also removed the ban on silencers and switchblades.
Let's complain about the NOFD and the statues.

I don't get it, N.O. is removing Confederate statues in order to promote racial equality or something along those lines?
So why do you need a stun gun in N.O. if you now have racial harmony?
Yeah, I was kind of wondering about that myself.
Watching the news, they said local fire fighters did it???
I'm done with N.O.

Just saying.
I respect firefighters and dont think the firefighters would stoop that low to remove the statues!

Let's get back to this city ordinance for a moment.
How can they pass an ordinance restricting my rights when State law forbids it?

The council approved a*revised ordinance*unanimously March 9 that removed the words "stungun" and "zip gun" from a list of prohibited items outlined in municipal code. That list includes blackjacks, metal knuckles, switchblades, spring knives, spring guns, iron buckles, sandclubs and silencers -- all of which are still prohibitedFrom nola.com: http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2017/04/stun_gun_ban_ends_new_orleans.html#incart_2box
