I’ve been making progress on my Jeep over the last couple of weeks and I’m very close to trying to start the engine. I rewired the entire Jeep with a exact copy of the original wiring harness. A Jeep supply business called Walcks located in Pennsylvania produces these and they are excellent. I had a few problems because of some wires I did not hook up correctly but once I got that done everything worked as it should. I turned the engine over also just to make sure the starter was wired correctly and it did great. I have also been able to install the vast amount of small parts that needed to be put back on the Jeep such as the glove box, lights, steering column, gas tank, fenders and many others. I Amin the process of looking for my new tires. The wheels are 15 inch diameter but they are very narrow at 5 inches are so. This cuts the selection down a lot. The wheels will be gloss black with a 29-31 inch tall mud grip tread. I can’t remember if I posted a pic of my grill but I had it wrapped with some graphics from my honey business. Cleaning and painting these parts has consumed a lot of man hours. It really never ends.

The shop is 30x50 with some additions on each side. It is a family owned shop so it is shared amongst different people. My family has been generous in allowing me to work on my project there. It’s great having a shop but I wish it were in my back yard. I have to make 30 minute drive to get there.

    I hear that !
Been wanting a 30x50 shop on my property for various projects and ease of working on my own vehicles and boat.
Finding reputable companies is like finding a bottle of unicorn farts these days.

That is so true about finding reputable people. The last person who put a roof on a lean to for us did a crappy job. Structurally it was fine, but the edge of the roof looked like a saw blade. The sheets of metal were staggered for a few feet then they corrected it, then it would get off again and it was rinse and repeat. This was even before all this covid malarkey.

    Looks great keep at it.
It ends up being crazy as to how many parts there are when taking apart a project. Lots of work goes into building and picking up everything. But sure is worth it when it all goes back on.

I just went through trying to find steel stock wheels for my 99 TJ. Had a really hard time since they are 15x4.75” Ended up finding a set on eBay but dealers everywhere had nothing but high priced alloys and only a handful of those were in the right size.
