I use this on my G19 https://www.zep.com/product/zepcommercial/industrial-purple-solvent-degreaser then I rinse in hot water
, blow dry and lubricate the trigger components.
I will pass on watering my pistols.
Water on a stripped polymer frame isn’t hurting anything. It’s quite easy to rinse them out and dry them.
I have Lucas Contact Cleaner if I need to quickly clean something. Also have Ballistol, Lucas CLP, Lucas Degreaser, Gunscrubber, and Aerokroil. I would only use the Contact Cleaner and Ballistol on polymer.
True but some water the entire firearm and Weapon Shield is much better than water for cleaning any part of a firearm.
Some people also do meth. I never said anything about people misusing certain things
I know people that would put a whole Glock in the dishwasher. They will win a Darwin award one day.

I guess you aren’t old enough to have shot corrosive primed ammo. A hot soapy bath was mandatory to prevent it from rusting away.

Funny how products that people use to clean items made out of the same materials guns are made out of feel "special" products only labeled for guns should be the only products used on guns.
Which cleaners do you use for polymer frames and trigger assemblies? I use Barnes CR-10 on my barrel bores but don't want to use it on the polymer frames.
Uh... he's old enough, but he's not dumb enough to shoot crap ammo.
In some calibers you don't have a choice... say 7.62x54R....
