The answer to that is no; the tension is not enough.

...Or...what about a holster sewn onto the back of the bib itself? That would allow very fast access, and the shoulder harness of the overalls itself would support the weapon. Sideways mount? Canted? Pretty much any way you wanted to mount it from that point.

Everyone who carries on a daily basis has to adjust their wardrobe to suit their carrying needs. It's been twenty years since I wore overalls. But they do have hip pockets like jeans right? How about a pocket holster with a gun suited to that size?
Otherwise I'd suggest moving out of the freaking swamp or woods and dress like a grown up.
