Tonight at Olive or Twist, 6pm-9pmwith Bayou Rum Silver and Spiced samples and food being provided.
Cocktails featuring these rums will be on special all night for $5.

Bayou Rum is great. Made a couple cupra libre's recently in our bar with them - the spiced is awesome. Full on vanilla and sugar cane flavors. I enjoyed just sipping on it on the rocks.

I am looking forward to trying it. I like Olive or Twist because they do a lot of things like this. I can try stuff without committing to a bottle. Wednesday night Marvin Allen, bar manager of the Carousel Bar in New Orleans, will talk about pisco. Again there will be samples.

I really like the Silver...haven't tried the Spiced yet, but never been a big fan of spiced rums (I prefer traditional dark).

If you mix Silver with Coke, it tastes just like a vanilla coke

I've tried it in Pina Colodas too and it works very well in those...

It's not bad straight either.

Still want to try it in a Mojito

I saw their distillery on the way to Houston a couple of weeks ago. I wish we could have stopped by it.
