CZ has officially acquired Colt

CZG, the parent company of CZ and Dan Wesson, has acquired Colt for $220M.

Hopefully they fix Colt’s screwups.

Not a bad thing. Colt has been pretty much dead since 1990. Would be nice for the pythons to be more affordable. Damn flippers bought all the new ones and tripled the price online for them. I was going to get one from Colt.

What about all my 70’s and 80’s AR and M16 rifles and parts? I can’t imagine the sale will hurt collector value.
Now if CZ can just resurrect the gunsmiths that colt had back in the day...

None of your stuff increased in value. It’s worth no more than it was a week ago.

It’s very likely with their acquisition of Colt Mfg and Colt Canada that production quality is going to increase. It may actually decrease the value of some older pistols when folks realize they can purchase new pistols made to better quality standards.

That’s what I’m expecting.

I have a feeling CZ is going to bring back some of the forgotten pistols and do them right this time. The new Cobras were really disappointing. Since they also acquired Colt Canada, this means US and International LE sales now for M4’s and AR-15’s.
