Detroit police station shootout

Some back story:

Detroit PD got a report that the suspect had kidnapped a 13-yr old and had her chained in his home.
A couple of officers go to the home to investigate.
Suspect drives by and see the officers in front of his home.

Suspect drives to the police station.
He used a Mossberg 500.

The cop that got shot in the head @ 0:19 was released from the hospital.
He can speak and stand, but has a lot rehabilitation a head of him.

He was armed. He got grazed and hit the deck.

The cop with white long sleeve shirt isn't wearing a bullet-resistant vest and didn't have a gun on him b/c he was off-duty.
The off-duty cop actually grabbed the handgun off the downed officer's belt.

Somehow I think I would have got up though. It's not in my nature to lay down and hope for the best.

Like Brannon said, hopefully this opens some eyes. As usual though it always takes something like this to do it.
