I just dragged my wife out of the house to go vote . She worked today and she was tired . I kept on her about it and offered to drive her . The place was still pretty busy .

Just got back and was glad to see there was a decent turnout today in my precinct. For the primary election held just recently, I went around 7PM as well and I was only the 7th voter they had seen all day.

I wanted too but we didn't have time today I didn't know who is running for what except for Mayor of Zachary and that is all I planned on voting for.

We got up at 5 am and went to the Main Street Market in Clinton and set our booth up so my wife could sell her baked goods. Around AM friend gave us four tickets to the LSU game today so we packed up early, dropped her car off at the house and went to the game. After the game we were starving and went to Hooters to eat. We just got home and all three of us are pooped.

UPDATE: We ended up going over to the polling place last night and we were the last two people to vote. They literally locked the doors after us.

went about 6:30 this evening and the lady said they were only at about 17%. that's pretty sad especially considering that's 17% of people who even bothered to register. as a whole we should take this process a little more serious.

Yesterday, I got up at 4am to drive from New Orleans to Starkville, MS, for my cousin's funeral. Immediately after the funeral, I drove back. As I was getting close to home, my sleep-deprived, driving-hazed brain said I still had time to vote. So I detoured over to the precinct and was miffed to find it locked.

Then I remembered that it was still Friday.

So I made damn sure I got myself over to the polls today.
