its no different than a seeing eye dog. Under ADA they cannot refuse you service, NOR can they ask you what the dogs purpose is. (if its identified as a service dog)

If i was you I'd contact a local attorney- who would absolutely crucify them over this. Literally a no-lose case. Post this on Ruby Tuesday's facebook wall, I'll bet you get prompt response.

You eh, may want to contact legal representation before you go about your e-campaign.

A$$HOLES. What a bunch of ignoramuses we have in this country. Idiots..Absolutely the wrong thing to do.Sounds like RTs need to have some training on this kind of thing. You would think they did as it is a national chain. Haven't been to one in a long long time and will drive by and think of this whenever I see one. Idiots..

There are several much better places to eat in Natchez than RT's. Pig Out Inn is some fine BBQ. Fat mama's Tamale's is pretty good too.

I agree with posting on their facebook. I looked at their page, it looks like they respond quickly. At least get the idiot fired.

I would boycott them for you but I already did years ago when I tasted their food.

Applebees quality really varies. We played poker at one in georgia and the place was AWESOME. I was very impressed.

then I came home... and well, we've all been to applebees.

Saw a person with a service dog in the grocery store. No one made any issues. Dog was a large breed. Seemed really older. Very slow gait. Grey muzzle. Obviously been with the person a long time. Made me wonder, When someone is with the same service dog for many years and the time comes to retire them or whatnot, it must be extremely difficult to find a replacement? Not only sentimental wise but also service wise?

I'm sorry to hear of your bad experience. And for the RT management, ignorance is not a good policy or excuse.

I wouldn't have left until the Manager can to the table. I've been amazed what my employees have told people in situations where they should have hit the hold button and gotten me on the phone. Manager might have been on a bank run and Alice decided to play boss for a while.

    Employees words mean jack.
A manager is supposed to speak for the owner/company. I don't know how responsible/liable an establishment is for the words of an hourly employee. A manager would have had to personally escort me out in that case, but I wouldn't be caught there to begin with.

They are responsible for all the actions of all their employees but based on my encounters with Ruby Tuesday waitresses, by the time you speak to Headquarters and Headquarters gets the manager on the phone, Alice has missed 2 shifts and came in an hour late for another and got fired($2.13/ hour plus tips don't get much these days). The manager is going to say "This is the first time I'm hearing about this." All restaurants should extensively train their waitresses on the intricacies of Federal Law but we're lucky if they can get them to remember the "wash your hands after a trip to the bathroom" part of the Louisiana sanitary code..

    Shreveport - or therebouts
I used to eat at RT alot. It was always an easy way to stay low carb as they always had some tasty low carb options and an awesome little salad bar. Lately the food quality and service have gone to hell. The only one in Shreveport shut down a few months ago and that was a perfect location for it. There is one left in Bossier but I think its days are numbered as well.
