no idea where the instructor learned it but its fantastic education. story goes like this:

Lady thats been heckling the whole thing says "why cant you just shoot him in the leg" and he says "Hey, I'm glad you brought that up. Come on up here."

She heads up to his speaking area, and he hands her a paintball pistol. He says "now, I'm not going to use a toy knife or a fake gun because I need you to actually be afraid"- and then he pulls out a taser. I'm going over here, 20 paces away. When I get to you, I -will- light you up, and it -will- hurt. In fact I think it'll be a sensation you won't ever forget. Okay... so if you hit me twice, i'll stop running. Still want to do this?"

"sure."

He takes off at her and she fires wildly. pop pop pop pop, when he gets to her he grabs the paintball gun and says "okay lets see here...."

I remembered this story from a few years back. A group of Dummycrats in NY tried to introduce a bill that would only allow cops to shoot for the arms and legs.

Even Joe "Two Blast" Biden thought it was stupid- which says a lot.
