or any other paint for that matter.

First you need to sand, blast or otherwise rough up the surface. I strip everything down, some don't.If its Parked just leave it alone and skip this step.
Second, you must degrease everything. Very important, NO bare hands from this point.
It is a LOT of work to do this. You must deside what colors and paint skeem you want. If it's more than one color you have to look at it in reverse or backwards.

This is the first coat but will be the least color showing when it's done.

I'll post up more pics with the next coat

Here it is, I had trouble with the stencil material not sticking to the weapon. It was a non "Lauer" material.

i couldn't make up my mine so I kept it real basic.

Now I'll touch up a couple of spots and put it in the oven for 1 hr @250. I'm not going to shoot this with any clear, though you should when using multiple colors. It flatens out the surface

how did you do your metal prep? Did you simply sand it? If so, what type of sand paper? I'm thinking about playing around w/ Duracoat in the near future.
(This is the part that I am most interested in learning about prior to use!)

I blasted all my parts in a blast cab. You could lightly scuff it up with 220 or so they say. I personaly wouldn't.
It really does need to be stripped in my humble opinion. Gives a better surface bite. Even better is to park it first.

    Good luck

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to do more research prior to venturing into the world of Duracoat! Sure as hell looks like an interesting way to finish a gun though!
