you can buy the duracoat and do it yourself. I did my AK and my LCP and they came out fine. I use an airbrush gun

The man does amazing work. He does the custom painting for Acadiana Gunworks. I first met him when I was at RJF and he did some work for them for some of their special projects. You can see some of his work in person there at Acadiana Gunworks, as they have a handful of rifles and some handguns done by him.

Plate-tacular is a sponsor here. Mr. Daniel has been plating/coating for years.
I believe he does duracoat but cerakote is much better in my opinion.
His user name here is DMH, he also has a sponsor section you can visit. Here is the link to his site:

Is cerakote going to be more expensive or run around the same. I'm basically just getting the slide, trigger, and a few other things, so I imagine it shouldn't be too expensive.

If you do not find anyone close by let me know. I know a local LEO that does good Duracoat work on firearms.

If he is looking to make some extra dough, tell him to PM me. I'm sure having him do it would be cheaper than the alternative. I'm going with one solid color on the pieces that I have done, so I imagine it would be hard to mess up if you know what you are doing.
